Good quote from Capel in regards to Cade's late game shot. Willie Warren, Tony, and Austin have taken similar shots in their career. You'd like to se Cade more Saavy about it, but I don't have a problem with him stepping up.

Agree with Capel, no problem with Cade taking the shot at that juncture. My only problem was the situation in which he pulled the trigger, really hadn't mad a move to get the defender on his heels so there wasn't any space to elevate and release. He had success getting to the cup, might not have been a bad idea to draw a foul.

That would be nice, but just try to create some space for a look or stop the clock. The problem with Cade's three was that he was the last man back, so once it was blocked they got a run-out dunk. Correct me if I am wrong, but that play started a string of four straight empty possessions. Not piling on Cade, he played great, but that is a pretty big mental blunder for a senior to make. I'm sure it will be pointed out when they get back to Norman and watch some film.

Camp is exactly right. In the marine corp, we used to say "good initiative -- poor judgment". I think that applies here. No problem with Cade being aggresive, but needs to use better judgment on whether he actually has the shot. Otherwise, Cade played like he belonged on the court. Terrific game by Cade.

Terrific game but he shouldn't have taken that shot. There still was a lot of time on the shot clock and game clock to be rushing a 24 footer.

I didn't like it because that possession was the one that you felt at the time was going to make or break the game. We had the momentum at that point and needed a quality possession, if we got a bucket there the game would have been very different in the last minute or so. You need to have a quality possession in that type of situation which is what winning teams are able to understand and do.

Good players earn the right to take tough shots, but it doesn't excuse them to take poor shots in critical situations.

Lol I become less of a capel fan day by day....this is exactly what was happening last year taking tough shots and were did that get us

I liked the principle of what Coach Capel said, but c'mon, we didn't need that shot at that time at all. Cade said so during the interview.

It was just Coach Capel defending his guys.

At least we will be playing hard, but I'm sure somehow you will find a way to say that Capel did something wrong there.:facepalm:facepalm
