Graham Hayes article on WCWS CHAMPIONSHIP

Good find. Thanks for sharing.

I have seen some complaints about ASA Hall of Fame Stadium, particularly the parking situation. I think it is wonderful that OKC is the host for this wonderful annual event, and I am hopeful that it stays in OKC for the long term. I was curious about the current agreement between OKC and the NCAA. Here is what I found (2014 article).

ASA Hall of Fame Stadium secures NCAA WCWS through 2020

I could see people coming in an RV not feeling accommodated but I always like
parking at Remington and riding the bus. I have only been once or twice in the last l5 years, but the parking there was plentiful and you didn't have 5 minutes
at the most to wait, coming or going. I don't know if that has changed or not.

I have been thinking for some time that with the growth of interest that
someone else would want the tournament. Haven't read your link yet but was
aware that we could lose in 2020. If we do, that stadium needs to be heavily marketed, of course, it already needs to be. That has cost too much to be sitting there empty. I do know it is used for other games but do not know how often.

EDIT: Like you, I would hate for OKC to lose. Even though I seldom go, I love the fact of knowing it is going on here.

Central location. Softball Hall of Fame. ESPN and SEC can complain all they want.

Parking isn't good at any big event. At many you have to take buses, so that complaint won't amount to much as long as free transport is provided between parking area and the event location.
