Grandy Glaze?

I think potential scholarship issues are a big factor in why OU is done in 2011. Better to play if safe then be forced to boot someone as Kruger isn't that type of guy.

Another assumption is just that OU would rather have more ships to use in 2012 as right now there is only one player graduating.

Really? Not that type of guy. Wonder if Thompson and Goff would agree.

Thompson left on his own accord, since his ship isn't even going to be use this year what benefit did it have for Kruger to run him off?

I've been told by enough people that Goff won't qualify so its not like Kruger "ran off" some willing and eligible player.

What I was getting at, is Kruger doesn't seem like the type to tell a kid who's already on campus, doing all the right things academically and isn't a determent to the team to get out. That is what he might've done if OU loses a scholarship this season.

Please. The fact that Kruger seems to be a personable guy. Along with being a great coach and that he runs an honest program is in no way incompatable with him being absolutely ruthless in the pursuit of excellence for the program. I wouldn't want him to be any other way. He didn't recruit any of them. They are all on 1 yr scholarships. He was hired to win games and put folks in the stands. And getting 2.2 to do it. If shipping players out before they graduate is what it takes to get that done, rest assured that is what he will do. Hypothetically, let's say that Grooms beats out Blair and does a good job. Then for 2012 he lands a point guard better than both of them. And then another good prospect pops up. Do you like Blairs chances of sticking around? And I'm not buying the Thompson left on his own story. As far as Goff, it is Jr. College. He could not have been so far behing that he couldn't have gotten caught up in summer school. For what ever reason he didn't want either one of those guys and he got rid of them. That's good. With his own recruits, that is different. With the ones left over, if they are not an asset, they are a liability.

But the point was that Kruger might not choose to bring someone in (Glaze, in this case) if there's a chance he'll have to get rid of him later when penalties are handed down, not whether he might see fit to clean house upon arriving in Norman. Two different things entirely.

Yes, that is correct. If a two ship penalty for 1 yr. comes down. The speculation that was the reason for sutting down on visits and recruitment would have been right on. But, if it is one or none. I'll stick to my original speculation that the coaches have seen something in Neal that they really like.
