Grandy Glaze?

Saw a tweet where someone compared him to DeJuan Blair, I thought that was a good comparison.

I have no idea if this guy is a player we need,I trust OUr coaches to make that decision. That IS why Lon gets the big bucks.

That highlight was not super promising, but I trust Lon. He seems to have a defensive-minded system, so it is not hard to see why he likes this guy.

Looks to be extremely limited offensively, though.

Agreed, Glaze's highlight video didn't leave me breathless and in awe of his athetlicism and skills. But there's something to be said about a player with his passion, motor and blue color work ethic. Every team needs a kid like that.

The most recent update I could find on this kid was that he had 4 offers, but was still unsigned. Anyone have any info?

I don't have any info, but didn't Kruger say in a radio interview that we're done for 2011?

Thanks Dave4OU. I think it is a good sign that Kruger didn't bring this one in when he probably could have. It may be a sign that he knows that he can recruit better players to OU than he could to UNLV and/or he believes he already has an undersized small power forward that is better (Neal). No knock on Glaze.

Probably more of a sign of the scholarship situation.

Probably more of a sign of the scholarship situation.[/QUO After M'Buy, Grooms, and Arent were signed, Kruger said twice to different groups that he wanted to sign another big. Later, he said that recruiting was over for this period. He also said that he didn't consider this upcoming season as a rebuilding year. He said on the radio that Neal would play alot of minutes and he did take him to Dallas for the Caravan. He does have two ships if there was someone he could have brought in to make next years team better. It seems that there is plenty of reasons to infer that Coach was well pleased with what he was seeing with Neal and there was no reason to bring in Glaze or any other available big to fill out the rooster. That is good because that will give him three for the 2012 class. Or,of course, you could be right.

You don't mention the possibility that Coach Kruger may know we're in line to lose a scholarship or two soon. I'm not saying that's the case, but it could be.
