Excellent crowd. Another packed student section.
Student section as beyond packed.
They release all extra student tickets on Thursday morning. My younger brother is a student, and they were all gone before he could get there.

There were only around 2k this year. Still way too many - I agree.
early on, before the OU fans filed in, I was awfully worried with the amount of blue in the stands.

Any OU "donor" who gave tickets to a Beaker needs to be relieved of their season ticket privileges. But I'm sure the visiting bozos had a rotten time occupying those seats today.

Our fans sounded very loud on TV, which was great. But there were obviously a lot of KU fans there too.
They tend to have a decent number of fans wherever they play, but it didn't used to be like that in Norman. We need to get back to packing the place with more of our fans. At least the students have been a lot better lately.

Wish it wasn't 1/3rd Blue. Guys are playing hard and deserve better.

I don't think it was quite that bad, but there were entirely too many blue clad people in the donor seats on the east side.
Do season ticket holders actually buy those seats on the east side? Why would anyone buy season tickets and then not use them? Those are some of the last seats to fill up, and the fact that they fill up with the other team's fans is just embarrassing.
They should move the student section to the east side seats. Use the tickets or lose them!

I suspect that a lot of those tickets are owned by corporations, not individuals. But, they could still make an effort to make sure OU fans are going to use them. I'm guessing they dump them off to scalpers or websites like StubHub instead of making an effort to see that Sooners are in the seats.
In that case we can blame Castiglione for caring more about making a few bucks than supporting our team. I don't think basketball is a big money maker for the athletic department anyway. The ticket policy needs to be changed.
