Great job students!

I was very impressed, hats off to whatever the student section will be called.

You bet! The students did a great job tonight. They were in the game from start to finish, and the team fed off of their enthusiasm.

Building a strong home court advantage always starts with students. Always. This is a nice beginning. Hope they keep it going.

Let me add my props as well. They were very loud right until the buzzer sounded. I wish I could make out some of the things they were saying, but have no doubt the team and coaches really appreciated their efforts. Plus, it was refreshing to hear the "over-rated" chant...been awhile.

I hate that chant. It diminishes the win

Thanks from a student who was trying to bring the energy. We will keep getting better and louder. We just have to keep getting more people in the building, in all sections!

LNC was pretty empty with 10 min until tip. Student section was thin too. Right around tip a huge drove of students appeared and they were into the game from then on. Liked what I saw. With our next 2 home games being weekday games, we will need them to keep showing up.

The big push right before tip is partially due to the fact that for a 5-10 minute period everyone is held at the student entrance for the flag runners. Also they don't let people in during the anthem

Yet another way OU and CSC make attending games a pain in the ass.

Really? Really?

I'm not blaming our attendance woes only on those factors, but they contribute. It's annoying when you're trying to get to your seat, whether from the top or from the student entrance, and they block off the bottom of the stairs/ramp for a few minutes while the cheerleaders make a lap with the flags. The OSU game in particular, the lines in the upper level to get down to the lower level were backed up to the top on the stairs. Very inefficient.

I was disappointed with te crowd when I got to my seat. Before tip it looked like there might only be 4000 people there. But I was super impressed with the student section. They kept the intensity up the entire game. Hats off to them.

So tell us how you would do it?

I agree that is the oddest chant. If the opponent is overrated the win is not as important. It is completely illogical but that is the nerd coming out in me.
