... the minutes #2 is getting.

Made a couple big shots but the guy is an absolute freezer for the team. Like -80 +\- in conference. He goes in, lead goes down. Every time.

He played well. Hit some big shots. Good defender.

Great win indeed, but Cousins was just as bad in the final 4 minutes. We need Cousins & Woodard to play great tomorrow night against WVU because Buddy will need the help.

And OU wins with hitting only 4 3 ptrs!!!

Boomer Sooner!

Nobody can play 40 minutes very effectively. Walker spells Cousins, Woodard, and Buddy. Walker probably played 15 minutes. James played 1-2 minutes.

We're really playing with a 7 man rotation with Walker and Buford off the bench. The other minutes are just token (James and AK).

Yes. I'll gladly give Walker's minutes to James.

Walker is literally the worst defender ( guard wise ) we have . Saying that I thought he played a good game .
Cousins literally almost gave the game away and Woodard is playing his worst ball since he arrived at Oklahoma .
I've never seen a player improve so much easier this season and then completely blow up ( in a bad way )

Great win, but I don't get your thread. You've made a couple of good posts but you are an absolute freezer for this board. Like -80 +\- in conference. You start a thread, board moral goes down. Every time.

Walker is a senior and has to be the guard to get the minutes in the 2nd half. I had hoped that some other guys would separate themselves as clutch but it didn't happen.

I must say, however, that I think it is difficult for a young guard to become that guy in our system. The guards are asked to create everything (and really by themselves) and that is a lot to put on a young player. James is going to be great (and is very good now) but really tough to ask him to come in and be that kind of player now.

Walker can play and we'll need him to make some big shots if we are going to advance to the FF.

Yes. I'll gladly give Walker's minutes to James.

Walker was 3-5 for 7 points and a steal in 17 minutes.

In 4 minutes of action, James did nothing. He had no stats at all.

Walker arguably played better than Woodard tonight. Offensively, there's no question Walker played better, but Jordan contributed a bit defensively.

Every year, there's a guy or two that get ragged on by some fans. Walker's the guy this year, with Spangler occasionally coming in for his share. Walker's a role player and he's filled that role fairly ably. He certainly did tonight.

Walker is alright. The one I am worry about is Buford. He is always out of position for a rebound. He played a lot of minutes. Check his stat for rebound and point. When he is out there we are out of sync on offense cause he is too small to play post. He also is not a good enough shooter to play outside. Our offense is out of sync when he is in there.

Nothing to rag.

He has the worst +\- on the team, by like 50.

I think those stats are iffy at best.

What did the guy do in the game? Tonight he contributed. Period. The only thing to really criticize him for is the late missed FTs (no small thing to miss those both, I admit).

Had 2 turnovers late, in like 30 seconds. But were his only 2 of the night.

6 rebounds, 5 assists, 2 steals. Steady!

And 10 points. Not great but your word "steady" is a good one. Solid is another. He's a really good defender and that doesn't always show up in the stats.

Woodard needs to show up tomorrow for us to have a chance at another W.

I could not give less of a crap about +\-

If you think he has no role.you are special. He's not great. But he is about all we have

He was a huge spark off the bench in the first half. He came in and gave us 5 quick points.
