Felt the need to make a fresh thread congratulating the team. Loved seeing the sense of urgency tonight with our backs against the wall versus a really good team. The coaches clearly got through to them tonight. Amazing job by the whole team and staff!

agree,
great game plan trying to get ball inside...

Good defense
Good ball movement
Good shot selection
Good bench help

We took adv of our mismatches...

I will add we also took adv of tt not having a good night, some of that was due to OU's def..but some is just the luck of the draw (OU has been on that end several times this year). As one of the announcers said late in the game...the bounced OU's way most of the night.

Defense Intensity was my favorite part

They hooked up. Tech played awful, but I think we had a lot to do with it.

Next game must be played the same way, our backs against the wall, win and advance

Great Win Sooners

I noticed a couple of times that on loose rebounds, when there was a scrum, the ball seemed to bounce to our guy often. That is definitely nice to see.

I haven't gotten to watch the game yet, but I was impressed that Doolittle was able to play so well with the mask. I've seen a lot of players really struggle the first time they have to play with the mask.

It was definitely one of the best games of the year for us. And the crowd and atmosphere at the Peak were surprisingly good. Not great, but certainly not a step down from LNC.

Contributions from just about everybody and yes, we will take an off game from Tech as well. Sure hope we can have something similar to that intensity and hustle these last 3 games. I think 2 out of 3 and we are comfortably in.

It seems the only place the mask bothered Doo was at the free throw line. He couldn't seem to make a FT. It sure didn't hinder his mid-range game, though.

I thought the mask bothered Doo on anytime there was pressure or the ball was below his waist. He missed some catches he normally would get and seemed to lost control of the ball and dribble a couple of times. He got better as the game went on, but it appeared it impacted his vision a bit for sure.

Glad he played through it and figured it out in the second half.

Great observations.

I also thought ball movement was outstanding. I also thought we showed more fight. I remember one time in the second half, where Brady got the rebound stolen from him and Austin Reaves comes flying in and diving for the ball and got a tie-up. Haven't seen that kind of fight consistently as a team and I thought we did last night.

You're probably right; he did lose the ball a few times. In reality, though, Doo is a big, not a point guard, and, as such, he's a good, not great ball handler.

Anyway, I guess I was referring mainly to the way he shot the ball.

Yup we def had more “fight” to us...

He fought thru with it on. I was at the game and we sat two rows up from the court. He started messing with it and adjusting it when they were warming up, and each time there was a stop in play, timeout, etc he seemed to be tinkering with it, but he played well with it. You could tell he hated wearing it....:):)

And it was a GREAT win!!!! Loved seeing it.
