Greg Swaim says he has information

If Swaim is talking about Kruger then he's an idiot because it is flat out wrong to say that Kruger has "no deep tourney runs". The only thing that would concern me about Kruger is that he is getting up there in age (58).

Maybe a mature, savvy coach who already knows what he's about is the hire we need at this point. Just sayin'...

He's a hell of a coach, but he's close to retirement and what better place to retire than Las Vegas?
I get your point, but the local economy in Las Vegas right now is about as bad as it is anywhere in the country. I heard an interview with real-estate based economist this morning who said that there are actually ENTIRE SUBDIVISIONS in Las Vegas right now that have ZERO residents. Home values have dropped by 30+% since the economic downturn and the bottom still isn't in sight.

While a fun place to visit, Vegas is a pretty crappy place to live right now.

Maybe if you're a regular resident...don't think Lon Kruger is feeling similar financial pain.

This is very true. I was just in Las Vegas a few weeks ago for the weekend, and visited with an old friend from HS who lives there now. He said that in his subdivision alone, of people he knows, they were going to have 8 more foreclosures at the end of the next week. That's just of people he knows. Incredible.

OSU fans do not trust Swaim...I heard he lives in Garber and got fired as the Mayor. He loves OSU and hates OU and an OSU coach told he could not come to the games for free anymore...he got mad and moved to Garber...LOL

I would naked across campus if we hire Kruger instead of Gregg Marshall, thats how happy i would be.

Not sure what you mean here, but are you talking about USAO's campus or OU's?

For your sake, I would hope USAO's because it's a short drive down 17th street. :ez-laugh:

Can he name the next coach of Garber?

Funny you mention that. He has tried to force the current Garber coach out of town and has been called out on it. If the people of Garber are smart they will force their former mayor out of town.

Oklahoma assistant basketball coach, to me, circa 2002, regarding Greg Swaim:

"He will say or do anything to **** us."

I'm not insinuating that he's in financial turmoil, but rather that it's not a no-brainer that he'd want to retire there, given the financial chaos that is Las Vegas today.

I don't believe anything Swaim says but Joe C better deliver this time. We have sit here and passed on BCG, who was a perfect fit, and Martin who wouldve been a solid hire.

I have little faith right now that Joe C will get the coach we deserve.

I don't think #OU fans are going to be thrilled about the coaching hire Joe C. Is going to make. It's down to two, and neither are great.

Think veteran, above average, multiple stops but no big tourney runs. At least he has Midwest ties and no NCAA baggage. #Sooners

Why do you follow Swaim? I don't even know OSU fans that follow him.
