Is he hurt or not? We have enough posters that claim to have inside info, and go to practice.....what's up? Is he practicing?

He is on the bench, just not playing. It appears he's 3rd string behind Hornbeak and Cousins.

Brandon Chatmon said on twitter: it was a coach's decision...

Wrong.

No coincidence that we started scoring with him on the court. He isn't perfect, but he's our best option against a team like KSU.

He did just get blown by like a stone on defense there, but oh well.

I hope Kruger has an explanation for what te hell he is doing with grooms

I really hope it's a discipline thing.
Otherwise these last two games just make no sense to me...

When we don't score 1 point for almost 10 minutes and we have nobody who can break their man down there's no excuse for Grooms to be on be bench less he can't play.

I think he has an ankle injury. He came out of the game at one point, took a shoe off and the trainer came over immediately.

Grooms is not playing defense at a level Kruger wants. I know that he looks good on the ball and all that. But, there is more to it.

This right here is what idiots like Jeff Capel don't understand about sports. It all starts with defense. If you can't defend you can't play. It is that simple.

I don't know if Gary if correct but I do know Jeff Capel did not understand this simple philosophy.

This happened two possessions in a row at the end of the game. For some reason (looking for a screen?), Grooms would look away to the side, his man would see this and then just blow by for a layup. In a game where baskets were precious, these defensive lapses were killers.

I wish Grooms the best, but it looks like 5-on-4 when OU is on defense and Grooms is in there.

Yep, last possession Rodriguez did a little fake, Grooms turned his head and Rodriguez went right by him and drew the foul. Game over.

No doubt about it, Groom's two defensive miscues and his two turnovers late in the game made it very difficult for OU to pull out a much needed homecourt win.

He wasn't the only one who went to sleep on defense, and he certainly wasn't too blame for the bulk of our 14 turnovers. Heck, KSU had 10 steals alone last night. I can't remember the last time OU gave up that many legal thefts by an opposing team. It's just that Sam's mistakes came in the final minutes when they hurt the most.

Grooms does have his defensive deficiencies, but without his scoring late in the game, we wouldn't have tied the game up.
