Grooms

The frosh guards often look lost and sometimes completely inept at running the offense (not hating on them, they're just freshman after all). But they definitely play better defense than Grooms on a more consistent basis. I understand the importance of defense, but not scoring a single point from the field for 10+ minutes with Grooms on the bench is ridiculous. Get him in there earlier to inject some spark into the team, just like what he did (just too late).

Uh, really no one on this team has a clue on how to play defense. And if they did, no one is quick enough to play it either.

This is far from accurate. OU has played pretty solid defense on the season. Against KSU it was defense that gave OU a chance to win. I think Hield, Hornbeak and Cousins are really good defensive players, especially for freshman. Those guys are going to cause a lot of problems for Big XII teams over the next three seasons. I bet when they are seniors opposing fans are going to wonder if they are ever going to run out of eligibility.
