As many negative things as I could say about this performance, I'm proud of the resilience and guts this team showed. Ton of adversity faced from foul trouble to injuries to lucky shots by Tech, it would've been easy to just give in and say its not our day but they dug out a win. Get some rest in the off week, re-energize for the important stretch run and for goodness sake remember how to block out!

I absolutely loved this game. We need to be prepared to play a game where buddy is just off and not have our home crowd to pat us on the butt! Great win!

Lol well maybe at the time I didn't love it but yeah this weeks games will be a good experience to draw from

Hey, it was ugly. We played poorly. We mostly played lazy.
But it was a conference road win. I'll take it.

It was a good lesson on what to do and what not to do in future games.

I liked the way the team fought through what has to be one of the worst games they have played the entire season. That's especially true on defense where they allowed Tech to shoot 59.1% from the field (42.9% from three). No other team has even come close to doing that against OU this season.

As for the what to do, the top choice for me is "block out on the freaking boards!" That's something most kids know how to do by the time they get to junior high. Lon needs to dust Kelvin's bubble off and introduce them to the "bubble drill" in the next practice.

Our bigs rely too much on their athleticism and their ability to beat offensive players to the ball, instead of making it easier on themselves by getting good position. This is not the first game we have seen it, but it was definitely the worst. And, it almost got us beat!
