Harmon Interview

At one point he mentioned stuff going on "behind the scenes" last year that he wouldn't comment on specifically... that he kept saying he wasn't going to let happen again. Anybody have any idea what he was talking about?

He also said it’s best “to keep it private.” That seems to suggest it had something to do with a personal matter, likely involving another player or players. JB comes immediately to mind. It’s obvious he wasn’t happy, or he would not have transferred. He was sharing point guard duties with De’Vion. Their approach to the game and their personality is totally different in every way. I can see how that might have created some conflict “behind the scenes.”

That’s pure speculation on my part, but it makes more sense to me than anything else I can think of.

Makes sense.

He's a dawg!! Think he will end up being very special for OU and have a great year. He shot it better from the outside than I would have expected. He gets to the lane very well,(needs to create for others better and finish) plays great defense. I think he could be first team all big 12 on that end eventually.

Harmon, Williams, Reaves, Hill give us 4 really solid guards plus Manek. Reaves and Manek could push for first team all big 12. I think top 4 in the league is very doable.

He said he wouldn't let it happen again.... that makes me think its not JB.

It's probably Reaves.

Lmao no. It was 100p in reference to JB. That’s why it won’t happen again because the dude with the brokest shot in the big12 since Doug gottlieb is gone.

Nothing about what Harmon said makes me think it was Reaves. De’Vion is too smart to bring up a personal conflict with a teammate he’ll play with next season.

Was not JB. Or AR. Or Doo. Or any player

IDK but it wasn’t JB’s parents. They were pro OU and LK.

Harmon is a different type of cat. Humbling himself to not think he was one and done helped him a lot down the stretch. Staying humble is key for him.

I thought Harmon was a below average outside shooter. It was a set shot. He can’t create his shot off the dribble. Early on in the season he got himself in trouble taking the ball inside..... he got trapped with no shot or outlet pass. He got better as the year went on.... it wasn’t as easy as it was in HS. I do think he played pretty good defense.

I expect a much better player this year.

I'm looking forward to seeing him keep his feet now and then when he drives to the bucket.
