Has OSU mailed it in? Or are they desperate?

What do you think we will see from OSU on Saturday? KSU played more like they were desperate than they had mailed it in after a 1-5 start. Of course, that was at home.

Nationally televised game against their biggest rival.

I'm more concerned with Lon mailing it in.

The Aggies will come ready to play. You can bet Waters will be psyched.

It’s Bedlam! The Pokes will play hard. You can take that to the bank. A more important question for me is how will OU play?

Slow starts are not unusual for this team. But last night’s thirty-six minutes sleepwalk was one of the most frustrating times I have ever spent watching an OU sporting event. They finally woke up for the final four minutes, but it was too little too late.

We’ll know in the first ten minutes which team wants it the most. If OU matches OSU’s intensity, they’ll win. Why? It’s a home game and OU has the best team.

The question is will Lon and his staff have our kids ready to play from the opening tap, or will they wait until it’s desperation time again? A repeat of last night’s game and OSU’s players will go back to Stillwater with a smile on their face.

On Waters, his preference was to play at OU but he wasn’t offered. Is that correct?

The Pokes did play hard, but they were totally outclassed and were soundly beaten by a superior team.

Agreed....the pokes do give effort, but they also make a lot of mistakes on defense. They didn't even really bother to guard OU's best shooter on the perimeter. And it didn't look like any adjustments were made as the game wore on.

It is up to the players to get ready to play not the coaches. Anyone that has ever played knows that.

He was offered & got it pulled because he had poor taste with pictures of him holding guns in high school.

We slow-played him, but offered late. His dad was a bit of a problem during the recruiting process and loudly voiced his dissatisfaction that we didn't offer Trey sooner. The whole school shooting picture nonsense did not help.

The story I always heard was that when the chips were down we went to Trey and basically said, "here's the offer.....we'd like you to commit now." He balked, and when McGusty committed the ship sailed.
