Are we sure he isn't coming aboard for the second semester next season? I ask b/c there are still those out there that are assuming he will. And if that is the case, we only have one scholarship left.

I'm under the impression that once you go to JUCO for grade problems, you have to "graduate" from JUCO before you can transfer somewhere like OU. Not sure of the exact rule, but I thought I heard that once. And graduation, I guess, usually takes about two years. But even if that is bogus, is there any chance he will be ready and able to transfer in at that point?

The OU Men's basketball 2012 class is shaping up great. 3 guards & 2 forwards. 1 forward won't show up until 2nd Semester.

That is what I was thinking about. If that is the case, he won't be here next year.

Until Blair actually does leave, that would be right. Guess that implies no Henry next year, or at least, no Henry on scholarship.

If he's still in his first semester of junior college, no way he's at OU for the second semester next year. The above posters saying he'd need an associates degree are correct, and I doubt a guy with a troubled academic past could get that in two semesters (plus one summer).

I think you're right about both recruits. James Hale confirmed what you're saying about Henry earlier today.

If he goes to JC and doesn't play ball, he can transfer anywhere the heck he wants at any time he wants if he becomes qualified. If he becomes qualified after one semester...... Would he be playing JC ball for the fall semester only?

Sounds like he could be enrolled for academic reasons only.

Doesn't matter if he plays or not. Once he enrolls, he needs the associates degree to qualify for DI competition. Junior college can't replace low grades in high school or a low ACT score.
