Anthony Downing (6'1''- Independence CC)
-Averaging 16.7 points, 6.3 assists, 4.4 rebounds, and 2.2 steals through 9 games this season. All-state high school player in Kansas, and looks like a pretty well rounded juco point guard.

Don't know him, but you really need to be careful of early season juco stats. A lot of the Kansas, Oklahoma, and Texas Juco squads play NAIA JV teams like Bacone, St Gregs, and OBU jv, which are basically glorified rec league teams. A lot of the kids on those teams won't play another year of basketball after this one. I'd pay attention to what he does in conference play.

i'm assuming this is the same anthony downing that walked on to kstate for the first few games of the 2008-2009 year.

if so, he didn't look like a guy that could ever contribute in the big 12. but he was small and skinny. he may have filled out.

not sure what his remaining eligibility would be. 2 years left after 2010-2011, i guess. also not sure if he could go to a big 12 school without penalty.

From what i found on the Independence CC website and ESPN they look to be the same guy. If that is the case then i don't he could come here without sitting out a year

I remember a player named Ellis Kidd who started at OSU, went to juco and ended up at Baylor.

Yeah, if you go to Juco/CC you don't have to sit out two years, even if the two four-year schools you attend are in the same conference. The year (or whatever) spent at junior college should be enough for this guy, although it sounds like he isn't really Big 12 material.

Titus Ruble is an OK player. He's from God's Academy in the Dallas area. Former teammate of KC Ross-Miller.
