I can really see these two guys tormenting the Big 12 for the next 4 years.. both will probably end up being the type of player that opposing fans are like, "those guys are STILL at OU????"

Good shooters, good size, good athletes, just good all-around players. Man, I wish Osby was back next season.

The freshmen have made great progress this season. All the depth that coach is building should prove very valuable in the future.

Don't write off Cousins yet...

Good to see a positive OU post btw, abd. :clap

Hield's play-making has been huge for us in these first two conference games. We have been lacking a guard that can penetrate and he's the one. That has been a big plus in opening up the offense. It was easy to spot his ability early in the season but his confidence and competence are rising as he gets more experience.

Hornbeak played a fine game today. He worked hard, made good decisions and also showed a lot of confidence. I loved the early drive to the bucket and the confidence he showed in stroking the 3s. His ankle issue contributed to a few turnovers when they were pressuring and I hope he is OK. We need him.

I also liked Cousins' effort today. I thought he worked hard on the defensive end. He will continue to get better and will be a very good player for us. LK was wise to get him considerable time in the pre-conference season because we need solid minutes from him.

Hornbeak doesn't have the hndles to run the point. I think he dribbled it off himself three times today

He'll improve, but I agree that he will be even more effective next year with Woodard running the point, when Hield and Hornbeak play the 2 and 3.

He isn't going to be the PG next season. Playing a season at PG is great because it will make him that much better as SG. Woodard is the PG of the future. Hornbeak and Cousins are the backups.

That's what I am thinking. Really excited about those 3 guys playing together, and having Spangler replace Osby. Should be a very solid starting five. But that only leaves Cousins and Neal as backups to the 1-3 spots on the bench. That has me a little worried. Would love to have another true guard to come in off the bench. At this point, I'm thinking M'Baye and/or Cam will just about have to get minutes at the 3 spot next year, based entirely on the makeup of the roster.
