What we are seeing with OU Basketball this year is basically what is wrong with the sport as a whole. We see OU's starters as hard working players maximizing everything they have and other teams have better athletes that at any time can play to there potential. KU has all these stud players that are up and down and when they actually play the way they are suppose they are heroes. OU is a hardworking team, reminds me alot of Wichita State from a couple of years ago, but when it comes right down to it, dunking, athletic teams and 3's are going to win out. I like the fact that Lon has maximized everything the team has right now. The only problem I have is why he didnt see these team wearing down toward the end of the year. We all don't know what we have on the bench, but anybody can see the wear and tear begining to come to the forefront . I am so happy to see us great again, but the burden the starters are carrying right now is much more than they should be, need to find some kind of bench, if that is there we are very dangerous to win it all

He's play 3 guys off the bench regularly. Walker Buford and James.

Not many teams play more than 8-9.

We have a couple losses and are top 5 in the country! Stop blaming being tired on losing. These are kids playing 2 games a WEEK!

While these three have played, they have not been in there early and contributed they way you need this time of the year. When we have struggled you need some kind of spark from one of them and they are not ready, Also our players have basically played together over 3 years and ton of minutes and most of the time I believe Lon has not done a good job of getting one of them out of there early. Teams have made more effort to take away the 3's in the last 3 to 4 games and we are not getting the turnovers to get out and fast break. You saw this against KU when this kid comes out of nowhere to score. The great teams have a great player , but also have one that can explode when the other is not hitting. I believe the closer the games are together it is a big disadvantage for us because of the minutes these guys play. Not excuse you can see it in body language and also getting down early

I disagree with both! lol...

yeah, those guys have played...so have Manyang and lately McNeace.

The ONLY guy that is a reg is Walker. Buford would be next, but there have been games James didn't play. So, no those guys are not regulars.

I also disagree that the kids are "tired".

The "slump" is coming down to lack of regular strong post play. I love Ryan, but there is absolutely no threat of offense.

There is a reason that no team shoots over 45% for the 3 ALL SEASON on a reg basis. The last three teams have figured that out. No post threat, take the 3 completely away, make them work. On top of that the overall athletic ability has stepped up over the non-conf. Yes, I said OVERALL.

It is what it is...we'll live and die by the 3, right now we are dying...so to speak.
