How are we with Maddie Treece

Love the Treece kid. Just wondering whether we are recruiting her younger sister, Madision. If so, how are we looking.

Surely someone on here knows something or at least knows someone they can ask. You sleuths get to work.

McKenna is really more of a power forward than a post, about halfway into being a shooting forward. When forced to play post, she is at a disadvantage to Vivi and Kay Kay. She is the best shooter of the three facing the basket. McKenna needs to weather this year, hopefully learn to be a bit more dominant. Her game will arrive with Nancy.

If the interior is forced to guard Nancy as opposed to McKenna, it will leave McKenna open, and she can be a very strong offensive force. I don't think that we will play Kay Kay or Vivi with McKenna. I do see Nancy on the floor with a power forward who can take advantage of the coverage on Nancy. I think the presence of Nancy will be of greatest benefit to Ijeoma, McKenna, and Vivi. By the time that Madison would sign, she will have seen McKenna with Nancy.

Sherri said as much at end of year banquet. Said McKenna would be working on facing the basket all summer long. How well she adjusts to that, we'll see. May take her a couple of seasons but she has the potential, IMO. I think she has good range with her shot. I think how much she plays as a PF will be determined by how well she plays defense.

I think her defense will have to improve somewhat. But, a lot of interior defense will arrive with Nancy. Even in AAU play, they are reluctant to try to shoot over her. She can block the shot of the best that I have seen against her.
