I just stopped by TMG's facebook page to have a quick read, and while I was not expecting some genius writing, I was also not expecting him to be an illiterate. He is an illiterate. It's like he writes in code or something.

Your post is a bunch of BS, he could care less what you think about how he types on facebook. He was one of the few bright spots we had this year and now he is leaving because our basketball team resembles a sinking a ship more than a contender of any type.

apparently these facebook investigations are contagious

ty for the laugh. i enjoyed your post.

What I would like to know is if he hates school so much then how did he even make it through playing High School ball?

So to recap your post: TMG doesn't care if he appears illiterate and if his team is not winning he will quit. If you're trying to stand up for him, you're doing an excellent job.

sorry....but if a college student athlete can't spell or compose sentences on a 2nd grade level then he should be held under scrutiny.

The bad news for many of us is his writing on the facebook is becoming common practice these days. If you talk to the kids or get texts from them it is the same exact things. I give some of our guys a hard time when they send me crap like that.

One of the many reasons why I don't have a facebook and never plan on having one and I am only 25.

Or it could be because he is stupid

Or he could just be typing like a large percentage of 19 year old kids on facebook and twitter. Spelling and grammar has taken a backseat to speed.

But what does speed have to do with spelling "you" so badly (seriously, he's typing the same amount of letters and it's actually easier to type "you" since the letters are all in close proximity)...that's my biggest problem...I can chalk a lot of it up to text-speek and whatnot, but the whole "yue" thing is absolutely retarded...

I don't see how typing in gibberish is any faster than typing English. I understand shortcuts, but "you" and "yue" both have three letters. But hey, maybe that's just me.

It's about typing quickly and ignoring typos. It's not just text speak. I have no idea, if that is what is going on, but I'm not willing to call a kid stupid based on his spelling and grammar in facebook posts.

I'm "friends" with several hundred people his age on facebook, and none of them spell that way. It definitely didn't help me think he was smart by leaving school early and thinking he can make it to the NBA. I'm going to stick with him just being stupid.

Whatever makes you feel like big man...
