I don't wanna jinx things

I was thinking about that ... and I am not sure I wouldn't rather play UVa than MSU. I think we match up better against UVa than we do MSU.

I don't think MSU is very good at all. UVA plays such good defense they scare me.

I've seen MSU play probably 5 times this year. They're not that good, at least not by their standards. They played their hearts out in the Big 10 tournament but they're really limited. UVA is the truth when Anderson plays well.

MSU will have a hard time scoring consistently against Virginia or against us. I feel much more confident of our ability to beat MSU than Virginia.

Same team that woulda lost 9 out of 10 times to LSU. 0-12 FG and 1-7 FT to end the game by LSU and NC St wins on a lucky shot at the buzzer. Was down 14 at the half.

I thought they looked good. They were the better team today. There was no luck involved.

NCS is very inconsistent. But their good is pretty darn good. Especially offensively.

The way our region has progressed reminds me of 2000...hopefully our second round game goes differently this time. I remember being just crushed when Purdue defeated us as I thought the team had a great opportunity.

My God, that was a horrible day!

Almost brought this up the other day. Seems like there was another season where something similar happened. OU's bracket opened up, and we got upset or lost a winnable game before we could even take advantage.

If MSU wins today, OU could make the FF without beating a team seeded better than 7th. Worst case would be nobody seeded higher than 4/5.

So Mich State up big on Virginia.

Purdue and a balding Brian Cardinal I believe.

If OU loses today (heaven forbid) that would simply be more of "our bracket opening up." It is our bracket but at the start it was fifteen other teams bracket. I certainly hope our bracket doesn't open up too much.

MSU? Not good at all? you guys are high.

UVa certainly has all the opportunity to come back and win ... but I certainly wouldnt classify MSU as "not good at all".

Michigan State is inconsistent. They do have Trice though.

You guys are crazy who are down on Mich St. I bet a lot of people think that bracket is an easy road for them at this point. They are a better team then Virginia.

Not overlooking Dayton of course, but don't sell OU short. We have the best team left on our bracket.

the only thing separating MSU from an excellent season was poor FT shooting.

I think they were the better team, too. Certainly so today. Not real big, but quick. Better defensively than they are offensively.

We finally got to see Tum Tum play. That wiould be a fun matchup for Buddy.

They went 1-6 against teams on our level before the B1G Tourney.

...and did you see any of the games? at least 4-5 of their losses would have been wins if they'd hit a respectable FT% - and they played well enough to win in all but a few.

just saying they went 1-6 against other teams doesn't really show anything. it's more important to know how they played, where they messed up, who was out, where were the games. The context matters.

MSU is a good team if for no other reason than Trice and their coach.

I watch a ton of Big 10 basketball. Iowa is my second team and we lived in Bloomington for a while, so I have interest. Yes, I saw them play quite a few times and, while they are playing well now, they weren't most of the year.

They also got where they are playing A very favorable Big 10 schedule.

MSU is a typical Tom Izzo coached team: Tough and physical on defense, with a designed to win close games on offense.
