I hope Baylor absolutely DESTROYS Creighton

I guess it depends how you look at it. They were almost relegated to the NIT and probably would have if not for beating OU and Texas in KC. It's worked out for him this year but last year it didn't.

Considering his roster his team should have been 2nd or 3rd. We don't have a roster anything close to his and her we swept them in the regular season and finished 4 spots ahead of them.

I call that underachieving.

And yet another Sweet 16.

I wish we just had just one of their bigs. I wish we had Black from KU.

Screw Baylor. I hope they lose. This talk of conference pride is stupid. It doesn't make OU better for Baylor to win. It doesn't make it easier for OU to recruit in tx if Baylor wins. I hope Baylor never wins another game. Ever.

Totally agree! Hypocrite U winning does nothing for OU and that's all I care about!

His teams do underachieve in the regular season, but this is his third really solid tourney run. Not really sure what to make of it.

Winning two games in the conference tournament doesn't move you from outside the field of 68 to a #6 seed. They were safely in, real strong non-conference schedule.

I was thinking they were an 11? My bad.

Regardless, didn't they lose 8 games in a row this year? How does that happen?

Drew and Calipari have a lot of similarities but Calipari is a better Xs and Os coach. Both are good recruiters and both are dirty. When you assemble the kind of talent both have then you are bound to see good results at some point. Give Drew our roster and he finishes in 8th or 9th place.

They lost 8 of their first 10 conference games...and have been on fire since.

When Baylor plays how they did last night, they are a legit Final Four contender. They don't have many holes. They have size. They can shoot it. They have guys that can get to the rim. They rebound it well on both ends.

I made the comment before the tourney started that I was having a difficult time with Baylor on my brackets, b/c you don't know for sure which Baylor is going to show up.

If they make jumpers, Austin works inside-out and they can stay in their zone...not many teams are going to be able to beat them. Especially in an Elite 8 game where you only have 24 hours to prepare.

It's called a zone defense. When Drew went to that defense, Baylor took off. It was actually a coaching move that helped his team. With Drew's record in the NCAAs I wonder if his dad isn't there to help him out during those tourney runs.

I think they had a good draw this year. Nebraska didn't really deserve to be in the tourney and Creighton was way over-seeded as a 3. If Baylor and Okie St. had been switched, I think OSU would be in the SS and Baylor would have been gone in the first round. OU had a good draw and just played poorly. SDSU is great defensively but pretty poor on offense had OU taken care of NDSU first. I'll look into Baylor's other runs.

So the other runs for Baylor in 2010 and 2012 they were a 3 seed. Both times they played 14,11,10 seeds. Meh, not that impressive.

From what they said during the game coverage, Homer helps Drew for EVERY game, often during the games themselves. They have signals they use, supposedly.

Disagree about OSU. Without Cobbins, their bigs were terrible, and their bench was worse. They were not a complete team at all, IMO.

Baylor would have handled Gonzaga pretty easily, IMO, too much length and athleticism for the Zags. They may get their shot at Zona in the elite 8, too.
