If we sell Buzz on being here, he will bring his own guys. I guess Marquette could give Benford a look. He actually played at Texas Tech and coached at Nebraska with Doc.

It would actually be a really nice but I don't see any of those three happening. You do get one experienced former head coach, another with D-1 level assistant experience then a wild card type in Terry.

The main two reasons I bagged on T_Neal's_Twitter are

If you put all three canidates in a vacum and said the new coach was going to hire

- The current Assistant Coach for the Midwest City girls team (Tommy Griffin)

- An AAU type from Dallas (Jeff Webster)

- Division 2 head coach (Terry Evans)

I know all have other have good parts resumes and that is why it was brought up but honestly wouldn't a coach get killed for that?

Also with a name like T_Neal's Twitter he deserves to get bagged on

Just looked at that...then I wouldn't mind him coming. I know he is bringing in his guys...as a head coach should be able to. I think chemistry in a coaching staff is just as important as chemistry in players. Everyone needs to be on the same page.

I was referring to Benford at Marquette, sorry.

I'm sure Buzz would bring in his own people but since he is already recruiting Texas and Oklahoma for Marquette, he has already made some inroads I'm sure.

I also believe he is wise enough to bring someone in with Sooner ties.

Remember Stoops early hires were BJ Wright to recruit east Texas along with Shipp and Gundy for familiarity with the OU program. It's a good formula.

Is that you Bryan? No really. Is this post serious? The only three staff members who were present for the entire downward spiral of the program were Capel, Ben Betts, and Goodman. If Capel is gone there is no reason anyone who helped sink the ship should be retained. Besides, if Goodman hadn't brought in the stiff from England we may have had room for Spangler.

I do hope YoYo and Alex Brown are retained since neither one was involved in recruiting or basketball decisions.

After which he busted his @$$ recruit and was the most vocal assistant on our bench. Goodman didn't make the decisions on who was signed, he was on the road talking to the kids he was told to talk to. While you're cleaning house why don't you clear the roster too since it was the players play on the court that led to this year and last years records.
