I know most of you don't like him.....

He is good to his players but I think he is an arrogant ass to everyone else. Played in a golf tournament over in Lawrence once when he participated and was definitely not impressed with how he acted. Their football coach at the time (quite a few coaches ago who was fired after a few years) was a lot of fun. I guess you can be an ass as long as you win though.

Never met the guy, but I got the same impression - after he went into the OU student section that time. Of course, at Sanctimony U. (KU), it's perfectly fine to be that way. If you don't believe they're morally superior, just ask them.
 
I can't imagine people not thinking that Williams is 1st class. I heard this story the other day. It's a terrific story and deserves to be told.

Were you a youngest child or something? You have such an inferiority complex toward just about every team OU plays, and every newspaper out there.

1. I am the oldest of two. My younger brother hates KU more than I do.
2. I didn't mention a thing about any newspaper in this post.
 
Roy Williams is a prick with ears. And a tiny prick at that.

He threatened to beat up a fan that heckled his team in a press conference. He is really classy.
 
Coach Williams is a good guy met him and never saw anyone who I knew who met him say a bad word about the guy.
 
The guy is prick. It is nice that he did this ticket thing but he did that for a friend or colleague. The cost is immaterial to him and he knew or should have known if it went public he would look good. I don't base character on things that you know or should know will make you look good. I base character on things you are not thinking about, like ejecting the fan or threatening to beat someone up.

About the only one, his size, he could probably beat up would be a horse jockey or a lawn gnome. On second thought he would probably lose to a jockey and have a hard time with the gnome.
 
I feel sorry for some of you. Really sorry.
 
Am I the only one that thinks he may have been playing to his UNC crowd by skipping out on a Duke national championship game?
 
This is really more about KU fans but my favorite moment is when Roy filled up KU's football stadium for the first time (well, close) to a crowd who were all on the edge of their seats and waiting to hear whether he was going to stay or not.

The following year when he really did leave there was no invitation to KU fans to come and hear his decision. I kept asking all my KU friends why not?
