I liked the resolve...

man you are always such a downer, it is pathetic. have you ever said anything good about OU? ridiculous. one of the most annoying posters on here

Well? was KU not up by 20 the entire game?

I thought Fitz and Pledger played well, and TMG was out there busting arse all game, but its not like the team pulled together tonight or something.

Fitz was awesome.... he is money on that jumper. He is going to be a really solid player, but that doesn't mean they showed resolve, poise, or moxy (since we are using Les Miles here).

If you saw resolve, poise, and moxy, well fine, thats your opinion. I saw KU sleepwalking and OU has some nice individual performances. Not sure why thats not what you guys saw, but if you saw the team pull together and show some fight and resolve than thats great, I won't come after you for thinking that.

Geez, unbelievable.

whats unbelievable is you thinking that we didn't show any fight or resolve. i don't understand. If this was any other team (colorado) instead of OU you would be prancing around hear about to cream yourself

Lol, sure... Colorado just got killed in Lawrence and were down by like 30 and then KU took the air out of the ball and eventually won by 19, 20 or so. I don't think it was good news for Colorado, just like I don't think its good news for OU. There were some good individual performances from Fitz, Cade, TMG, etc but thats all I saw. Sure, they didnt lay down and quit but I guess I don't call that resolve. Maybe you do, and thats great.

Whats really unbelievable is that you can't accept that someone saw something different than you, and then stoop to personal attacks instead of just letting it go or saying you disagree like a grown-up.

Get outta here with that crap....

I thought we played better as a team down the stretch, something we haven't seen a lot of frankly. Guys didn't give up on each other.

I don't think you would have gotten these replies if you didn't act this way after every single game. I forgot whether it was Texas or Missouri (maybe both), but you didn't post after the win except to take a cheap shot at one of the players. That's why you're getting the responses you deserve to get. You'll notice a trend with posters getting less abuse after complaining about a loss when they give props after a win. You clearly don't do that.

As for the game last night, in most of the OU double-digit losses this year, OU quit. Last night, they didn't. Even if Kansas sleep-walked, they could have won by 40 if OU played the way they did in most blowout losses. That's why many here were positive instead of critical. Also, one freshman really emerged last night, and another showed he might be a 3-pt specialist as early as next season - that gives us fans HOPE.

hey, forget responding to this dude, we know what he's about.

Capel is doing this right now in the postgame press conference...........

Let er rip!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

Seriously, OU looked the best they've looked this year defensively. KU made some tough shots and OU did well with it's assignments and blocked out well. If we would have started the game better, it would have been closer.

Obviously, Kansas is light years ahead of The Sooners at this point. Also, Kansas really didn't have intensity all throughout the game. What was encouraging was that The Sooners competed, scrapped, and most importantly, looked like a team...

Rich Soil?

It really shows something about the season when 13 point loss on the road is something fans are happy with.

I kind of think everyone is correct. KU let up a bit and OU played better in the second half. Coming out of the locker room and out of the timeouts, KU seemed to extend the lead almost 100% of the time.

Wow big abd they played hard. They did show resolve the didnt get beat by 35. Shut your mouth your an idiot

I agree that it sucks to get fired up about a 13 point loss, BUT...

at this point in the season, given the way things have gone down (with "agendas" and so forth), it was surprising and encouraging to see how our team played in the second half. In late February, playing for nothing, I exepected what we saw at Baylor and a 30-point blowout. Instead we got honest effort and a few glimmers of hope for next season.

exactly...its a constant theme in your posts and it is ridiculous. it just makes you sound like a bandwagoner

My goodness, now we are happy about not getting drilled by 40. Nice.

You guys win last night? When is your game against Rogers?

hey, forget responding to this dude, we know what he's about.

it was basically an attended scrimmage...

but really good for our freshman to hit some buckets and close the game out on a positive note....like you said, it is sad but at this point in the season i am just hoping the young players can gain some confidence leading into next year...win or lose

no we lost because the ref called a foul on a bogus 3 pt attempt at the end of the game. The game against rogers is on Friday

You need to quit being so negative. Its obvious this team is struggling so you have to applaud the effort last night. If it was a good OU team and they got beat by 13 ok be mad. Your to negative and fail to see things on the bball court. The mob will lynch you

sounds like coach liked the effort
“I thought that one thing we did all night was compete. It hurts us with the start we got off to. We got great looks we just started 0-for-9. When you come on the road against this caliber of opponent you have to be able to score the basketball. I thought that our defense in the first half was ok on everyone except Xavier Henry. He is a really good player coming off one of his best games. He certainly had a good first half. I thought the second half we did a better job defensively. Our ball screen defense let us down. We did not do a good job communicating the switch that we wanted to make in our ball screen defense until we got to a timeout. I thought after that we did a good job. I thought that it was one of the best nights as far as us executing. I thought everyone for the most part submitted to the team, because of that I think that we did some pretty good things out there. I am proud of our effort, but I would have liked to have seen us make some more shots.”

Very well said. I'm happy that we competed, but let's face it....KU could've named the score if they had wanted to. And I agree it seems our optimism has sunk to a level where we are happy not getting blown out.

Is everyone done being mad at the bigabd i was starting to enjoy that. I was wondering when he would be lynched and or stoned. oh well
