Even if it was in (which it wasn't, it was bouncing around the rim for a reason), that mistake was on K-State, not Butler making them do it like you said.
It was a 7 point game with 9 seconds left even if they don't goaltend and the shot doesn't go in...
I'll agree but Butler was up 6 points at that time. KSU was just trying to hit 3s so they could get back in the game.. Butler wasn't allowing open 3s so KSU really had nothing they could do.No one is saying Butler didn't play well and do their job but it was painfully obvious KSU was tired and were making bonehead plays because of that.
Wow how can you keep whining about it? Butler outplayed KSU. That's all the last minute was about.

How does that have anything to do with my point that K-State was melting down and making uncharacteristic mistakes?
Because that's not a "meltdown" or "uncharacteristic mistake." The game was literally over at that point.
