Other than a nice side note, do you really think recruits would go to OU because they won the Big XII this year? Kansas has 11 straight with some shared and yet the thing most people remember is their early exits in the tourney. The tourney is really all that matters much like the CFP. OU has won how many Big XII football titles compared to the rest of the conference? Nobody really cares. Also, OU shooting 20/60 is what lost the game , not officiating. That's just atrocious and should be an L against any top 25 team.

I respect your view, and I'm not trying to argue with it. But I do care about winning the conference, that is why today was so disappointing. If conference crown/Final 4 was an either/or I would certainly pick the Final 4, but it is not. OU was in a position for both and outside of a miracle, only one is still in reach. I don't think Kansas' early exits hurts their public perception in the least. After watching the GameDay & even in the telecast the conference championship streak was mentioned as historic. I don't want Kansas to lose as much as I wanted OU to be the one to break the streak. Oh well, time to start dreaming about a deep run in the tournament.

I would not care about winning the conference. I care about developing post players so we can win the National Championship. That's the only thing we lack to get there. I would develop Manyang right now period if we want to win the national championship.

It would have been a big deal especially because KU has won it so many years.

If only it were that simple: SNAP your fingers, hey, PRESTO! Lon developed him...

I wish.

The key to Kansas going deep in the NCAA is the development of Lucas. What is our key to get go deep in the NCAA tournament???? Our guards getting hot every game????

Lon hasn't done a good job with ak IMO. He could have helped early on today but he went with jamuni instead.

I don't go to practice since I am at work when they go on, but maybe there is a reason the jamuni has started to get the minutes AK got. Maybe he is performing better than AK in practice and earning time.

Do people remember the Bug XII? Kansas used to get to play Kstate, Nebraska, Colorado, ISU 2x every year and there was a stretch when the south was far superior to the North, so KU only had to play OU, TX, OSU , A&M once and split half of those being @ KU. I also think they are quite generous in giving KU several of the co-cHampshire as they lost straight up to the real champs. Like when Texas gave their players rings for co-champs even though they lost the tie.

My mom could develop KU's posts. OU needs to star recruiting better inside. Maybe Freeman and Doolittle are the start of that. We need better play at the 5 spot too.

At least Manyang can score inside, I don't know if Jamuni can score inside.
Don't know why Manyang is not the second option when Lattin get in foul trouble.

Have you seen him play this year? He doesn't fit on this team, b/c he doesn't move well enough. Doesn't/can't run the floor. He would fit much better in the old Kelvin Sampson style of game.

Maybe next year's team slows the pace down some b/c we'll be so young, and Manyang can get some meaningful run. But he isn't effective playing with this year's team. Not that McNeace is much better, but at least he moves a bit better, and can actually hedge on defense.

Well Manyang played in the earlier games and we didn't lose did we????

I can't imagine competitors who don't care about winning championships. I hope to he'll our players and coaches care.
