whether he's our PG for the next two years or not, I really like what this guy brings to the game. I am glad he is on our team.

Seems like a great kid.

He started a facebook group for the Houston area about kids using basketball to get out of being involved with gangs.

With the way he has played today, it would be very difficult to not like him.

seems like a very hard worker and a real team player. So unselfish.

His group is called "Hoop or Die" or HOD for short.

Is that the Hoop or Die thing he's always referring to on Facebook?

Blair had 19 pts, 5 rebounds, 7 assists and 3 steals today. Great job by him.

He has turned out to be a good get from this recruiting class, Very pleased with how he has progressed.

Ayechoooooooo!

Carl made some really clutch plays today. Once he cuts out some of the bad TOs (ex that travel) then he will be even better.

Blair and Quannas White are extremely similar.

Just said that to MaxPower on the telephone. I agree with you, nick. I think Blair can be even more like Q if he gets some more confidence in his long range shot (which I think looks pretty good).

Earlier in the year and even as recent as a few games ago Blair did turn it over too much. He's done a better job at not turning over a ton the last few games.

I agree that Blair is a lot like Quannas especially in the way he uses his body to get himself into the lane. And both are very sneaky athletic. If he ever becomes the defender or shooter White did he'll be something else. That's a high bar, though, and I'm pretty happy with him even if he doesn't get to that level. Quannas shot over 40% from behind the arc at OU.

That's a heck of a game by any measurement! If Carl continues to improve, it may be virtually impossible to start over him next year.

Quannas didn't really shoot a lot of 3s from what I remember. Just seemed like all of them were key 3s. And it also seemed like he didn't really score a ton but he just made big shots. That's really what you need for a point guard.

He shot 180+ 3's in two season, at a rate of 43.5%. Blair has taken only 35 in over half a season, at a much lower rate.

I'm not knocking the guy, he's a year younger than Quannas ever was at OU and he's already a solid player, but if he ever becomes the shooter/defender Quannas was, he'll be an all-conference point guard.

Was Quannas ever all conference? I don't think he was because of the talent we had in the conference at the time. Kansas always had a PG, Texas may have had Ford or someone like that. But yeah he probably would be an all conference point if he was Quannas good. But I don't think anyone is saying he's Quannas good right now. He still has turnover problems which is something Quannas never did. But he's a lot like Quannas in his skill set and his style of play.

From what I remember he wasn't shooting to the extent that say Michael Neal was, but like Tony said he was very efficient behind the arc. Believe he shot around 40 and 45% his junior and senior years, respectively.
