will this be the worst team to win it all since... 1988?

I've never really thought much of this KU team. Sure, they are good and easily could win it all this year. I just don't see them competing with many of the other NC teams from the last two decades.

The Maryland team that won it in 02 was pretty friggin weak.

PG: Steve Blake (NBA player)
SG: Juan Dixon (Hollis Price clone, All American, just too small.)
SF: Byron Mouton (5th year senior, solid player)
PF: Chris Wilcox (NBA player)
C: Lonnie Baxter (2-time regional MVP, 2000 point scorer, 2nd all team leading rebounder)

3 out of 5 guys played in the league, 2 still do. Mouton was kinda like Ebi Ere, and Juan Dixon was practically identical to Hollis Price.

Dixon and Baxter played multiple years in the NBA too.

Don't worry. This Kansas team is not winning the title.

Last year's Dookies were the weakest team I can remember winning the title in my 40+ years of watching the tournament. This KU team could very well win it all.

Exactly... so they had 4 starters that played multiple years in the NBA, and a few of them have become long-term veterans.

How that team is a weak college winner is beyond me.

You guys are amazing. You try to take shots at KU whenever possible. KU has a good team. Name me a weakness. Maybe free throw shooting. That's it. They are definitely a national championship caliber team.

Exactly, they no weakness. They defend, they rebound, the have some NBA talent, they can shoot, they have experienced, and they are well coached.

KU has no holes.

Kansas could very well win the title without playing anyone higher than a 4 seed. They won't play anyone higher than 8 until the title game.

Kansas is a great team. Doesn't mean I want them to win, but they are a great team. I picked them...that's about the only thing I still have going for my horrible bracket.

So KU in '88 was the worst team to win it in the last 23 years? Who did they beat? :). I love when hatred makes people so dumb that they insult themselves!

You're right... they had to go through Lon Kruger's K-State squad... Only reason KU won was because it was played in Kemper Arena.

LOL, coming from the bright one insulting his own team? :clap

I'm not sure how I insulted my own team. We lost, it was an upset, it happens. OU Football lost to a really weak LSU team for the NC in 2003. Shouldn't have happened, but it did. Doesn't mean LSU was the best team on the field. Where the game was played had a lot to do with it, as well as being hot at the right time.
