I'm not a betting man but if I were............

They got pretty lucky in the first meeting... Career highs or tied career highs in certain categories from several players... Bryce hit more 3's than he has in a game all season.. Avery Anderson had one of the better games of career... Cade scored a career high... Moncrieffe got a career high in rebounds... They banked in a 3 while getting fouled...

OU shot better from the field and from the 3pt line... They beat OU up on the boards pretty bad and that was it.

If OU rebounds a little better they will win.

What's so funny?

no doubt....I'd say it's less than 50/50...but we'll see.

We shot extremely well...minus FT's and still loss. Our rebounding has been marginal at best this yr.

I wouldn't touch this game if I were betting, but if you put a gun to my head....I would lean OU for many of the reasons you described above. I don't think osu can have repeat performances from their support guys. And I also believe this game will be lower scoring in regulation.

fyi OU opened as a 1.5 point dog and the line was bet and quickly moved to OU -1.5

Money moved the line 3 points? That’s a good sign for the good guys. Gotta get this one, Sooners!

I am a betting man and here is a strategy I often use. Since I have an emotional interest in OU winning I will hedge by betting the other side, especially if OU is favored.

For instance, last week I took Iowa St +11, K State +10 and OSU +5 all vs OU, with the hope that OU wins but does not cover. It worked out perfectly in Ames, and at least I won money on the K state and OSU games.

If OU wins and covers I look at it as though I "bought" them a win. Every outcome is positive for me, and sometimes I get to have my cake and eat it too, like the game in Ames.

If OU is a dog I'll either not bet the game, take OU and thr points, or take the other team straight up. But I'd never take the other side if it was favored.

I NEVER bet on OU...the few times I have...just with friends/family I LOSE.

So, I've learned...or maybe I should take the other team:ez-roll:

We’ve talked about this before... if a line seems way off, bet the opposite way of your gut reaction to said line. There is a reason it is set the way it’s set. Far be it from me to tell other people how to gamble, but my basic philosophy is to align myself with house as often as I can. I want to be on the side OPPOSITE of the public and ON the side the house needs to win. If there is a wide disparity in that ratio for a given game, I don’t even look at match ups, injuries, home court, etc. It’s just an auto bet. Generally, I am an underdog player (especially in the NFL) but over course of year I’ll bet dogs more heavily than favorites because the house more often needs dogs to cover. That said, my personal FAVORITE possible bet is to go AGAINST a public underdog. My experience is that is where the house often cleans up. Tonight, OSU is the public play AND they are the dog. That is a wheelhouse bet for me on the Sooners.

Hope you bettors win lots of money......I just want OU to win and I hope you are right!!

I will ask though, isn't there an old adage that if a line moves 3 points in either direction you go the opposite way? If so, that also doesn't bode well for us.

Agree. Better rebounding, play a little smarter, and make FTs. They have the best player but I think we have the better team on most nights.

I don’t think either one is definitely better. If they played 10 times a 5-5 split wouldn’t surprise me. Expect another nail biter that could go either way

Yes, not a big difference. If I thought we were a LOT better then I know we wouldn’t have lost to KSU. :-)
