With 7:34 remaining in what would become a 75-48 victory over TCU on February 11, 2013, Buddy Hield hopped to the Sooner bench with a bum wheel. He'd fractured a bone in his foot, and would eventually miss five conference games for Kruger's first NCAA Tournament team.

Buddy returned for brief spot duty against West Virginia on March 6, and was inserted into the starting lineup against TCU on March 9.

Most memories of the 2013 TCU game in Fort Worth are horrifying (I should know, I was there), but it was also the start of something very peculiar. For if you take into account that game and the two games that closed the 2013 season.....

And add all of the 2014 year that grabbed a 5-seed from nowhere.....

To go alongside each of every game from the 2015 Sweet 16 brigade.....

And throw it on top of every contest played by the 2016 Final Four bunch.....

And then sprinkle in the first 10 games of the 2017 season before we played Auburn without Jordan Woodard and his geeked groin.....

You will get 118 CONSECUTIVE GAMES where the starting lineup was not affected by injury. All hail Alex Brown! I bet Charlize Theron would appear on my porch in ass-less chaps before we go 118 games without a significant injury to a starter. Give that man a medal.....or maybe even a raise!

DISCLAIMER: One could make the argument that Dante Buford's tweaked groin could be considered starter's minutes lost, but I think we've all seen enough to know that Doolittle has been the better option since day one.

One of the more amazing stretches I've ever seen.

well I gave it a good 10 minute search, but I can't find the video of There's Only One...Alex Brown

As long as it's not the Monster version of Charlize Theron...:ez-laugh:

It seems there are more of us in the Charlize Theron appreciation club than I knew. I shouldn't have been surprised. Alex has been around along time, he's probably in the club also.
