Iowa State

We played well today, even if the competition wasn't very good.

We were all over them defensively.

Kay-Kay was a one- woman wrecking
crew. Happy for her on senior day.

Best scoreless game I've seen by a player. They have Maddie credited with one assist. That has to be wrong. There were several times that the ball was in and out of her hands so quickly that it was hard to follow. I agree with Sooners4Life. Great post feeds.

I rewatched and saw 4 assists plus one that led to free throws that KK sank. I don't think the NCAA counts those but I do. :ez-laugh:

lol...my 10 yo great-nephew was telling me his stats for one of his games
and one of the "assists" was for free throws, so Cainan is with you MsPSooner.
Maybe the Ncaa is going to have to get with the program and straighten out that issue.

Great way for Kaylon to finish at home and lead the team in a nice win.

Not that they had the same type Senior year nor expectations for their last game, but Kay Kay's game reminded me of Senior night for Jaz Hartman.
Believe she may have been the only senior that night, not sure, or only one that played........Anyway, she wasn't a starter but, of course, started that game and then ended up playing a career game and we needed her because I believe it was close. Such a good memory for a Senior.

I finally had an opportunity to see the replay, not having seen it live. It seemed to me that we were having a practice session with Iowa State being used as someone to practice against. I just had the feeling that we were working on some things rather than trying to win. With Seanna Johnson out, especially after the loss of Fernstrom, Iowa State was simply outmatched, and I think we knew we would win. It was more like a chance to work on some things and to give Kay Kay a nice send-off.

Iowa State has some nice players, but not enough for a team. I never thought we would beat a Fennelly-coached team by 31, even if he had to play the bench. They are a bit depleted.

You're right, syb. But that takes nothing away from the way we played today.
