That was sickening. We should have ignored the ref. What would they do?
More than likely it was pointed out to all officials after the KU game and it is now a point of emphasis going forward. Still stings but at least they are trying to make it right going forward
The problem is the red fat blew it in Lawrnce got paid and have called two or three ga Es since then. There are virtually never. I sequences for officials once they reach the D-1 level.
Translation please?

Exactly. I knew some would come here complaining about unequal treatment. It's good that the refs are working to insure the same mistake isn't made again.

The problem is the refs that blew it in Lawrence got paid and have called two or three games since then. There are virtually never any consequences for officials once they reach the D-1 level.
well done. Typing on my cell phone is very difficult for me and auto correct makes it worse.
As I recall, OSU didn't blow a timeout to set that play up. They didn't have any timeouts remaining by that point. Instead, they got a free timeout because the refs went to the monitor to review who touched the ball last. Had they not reviewed it, OSU wouldn't have had any chance to draw up a play.
The biggest problem with that play is the ref told Ford the wrong location for the throw in, OSU burned a timeout setting up an in-bounds play on the baseline...which ended up being from the sideline. Huge deal for a coach.
Am I the only one who thinks that after taking all that time staring at the replay monitor, the refs still blew the call. It certainly looked like the OSU guy knocked the ball away from Buddy to me.
