I've began to think this late in the year. Seems like she might be. Good but never quite consistent and good enough.

I know, Gabbi played for the national team, blah, blah, blah. I'm only interested in what she can do and has done here. I'd be a lot dang better too if I was playing with the 5-10 best players in the country all the time. She isn't doing that here.

No picking on her or meaning to be critical with this. She just really regressed this year. Just want to start up some more interesting discussion before the tourney starts.

I can't see her making another USAB team any time soon...

Or anyone. We will not have to worry about players running off to play USAB. And let's hope the coach stays around as well and does some work on recruiting. She's going into the hall so she can check that off the list and refocus.

Gabbi has something within her that is not likely to settle for what happened this year. There is a fire. She is young enough not to know exactly what to do. I am impressed that she worked so well on her free throw shooting, from 702 to 900.

I remember when Hook had that same fire and worked herself into the line-up and by the time she left, she was heading to the bench crying and asking her coach "what more can I do?" loud enough for press row to hear it.

I could seen the same thing happening, sadly.

We have a lot of needs but none greater than at PG.

If Rich can be effective at the point guard spot, She should have a chance to beat out Ortiz...

But Gabbi has the whole off season to improve... Maybe Sherri can move her off the ball and out to the wing more.

I think Rich will be a challenge for Gioya or Peyton rather than Gabbi. Two scoring guards should have scored more than nine or ten points per game, which is one or two more than Gabbi scored as a point. Gabbi needs a summer to study the film and see what she does wrong. I think she has the attitude to fight back. There is a tough streak in her. But, it appears to be headstrong.

Sad to say I dont see any player doing anything anywhere near what Heild did/does- work, work, work, work. The only changes I saw this year were KayKay's fouling somewhat less and ViVi's vast improvement.

Maybe it's hard to see how much work goes behind the scenes when you're half a continent away.
