WT, I would be shocked if it were good intel. My buddie doesn't have first hand intel. I asked if he had heard anything and he just said that he didn't have a name but that he had heard they were talking to a guy from Vegas about the job. He told me he was told the name, just that he couldn't remember it and he wasn't familiar with the person. He said he would remember it the minute we left the resturant. I'll call and see if he can remember the name.

By the way, my friend is not an insider at TU, just a donor and season ticket holder to Football and basketball, gives some money otherwise to the university, and follows their sports teams like you and I do OU.

Seems like the move from Ohio to Tulsa would be a step down or a lateral move at best.

So Tulsa fires a coach that plays slow, and hires a guy that plays even slower? I don't see it. Watching Ohio play is like watching Hoosiers, they make pass after pass after pass before they even look at the basket. The guy is winning, but Tulsa fans want up-temp basketball, not more passing!

I thought of him when the position came open. Haven't really followed what he was doing at Minnesota, but as long as he can still recruit, or maybe has some good, young assistants, I think it might be a good hire.

Yeah I saw Mannings name, but doubt it's realistic.. I'm pretty sure they want a head coach.. I think Bryce Drew is a long shot too..
