Fennelly will have some talent to work with but will need to develop some freshmen as well.

Good returners:

Christofferson
Moody

Others of interest:

Buckley (freshman) will be interesting to watch. Good player in high school.
Williamson (junior)
Blaskowsky (sophomore)
Johnson (freshman)

The Sooners should pick up at least one win against the Cyclones and probably two.

I don't remember anyone making a big deal out of Christofferson when she came to ISU. She had been an Honorable Mention AP and WBCA All-American, but a lot of people seem to be honorable mention. But, she was probably about as good as anyone that OU played last year, and no individual played any bigger role as a difference-maker against OU than she did.

Meanwhile, Buckley has been all everything, and the Iowa Attack would have beaten Miami if she had been even mediocre. She can handle the ball, but is prone to mistakes from over-confidence. Miami's guards just picked her pocket. I don't think she hit a single three, and probably only made about two of fifteen shots, fewer than half her free throws. She's got some growing up to do. Both the Miami guards were far superior.

I don't recall if Christofferson played AAU ball but her stats in high school were outstanding.

When your home town has 940 people, you tend to play in a small school, and you can have great stats. At 6-3, they probably hadn't seen anyone that tall. She was also fifth in the state in 1A in the discus, and almost made the 4X800 finals twice. Small school stuff. Would have probably been the star pitcher for the softball team if they had been big enough to have one. It wasn't enough to get her All-American honors.

Now, we know that she should have been.

I wonder how much better her stats were than Felisha Gibbs.
