Rick needs to get this guy off of twitter and quick. Oh and I learned from my friends at shaggybevo that "bloods" don't use the letter C so they use an * instead which would be very aggravating if you had a C in your name ala J'Covan.

Note: its also acceptable to exchange a C for a K as well.

I also would like to state that social networking is probably the worst thing that has ever happened between fans and college atheletes. There is just some stuff that we as fans don't need to know...

Dude is a mess. I'm surprised UT doesn't have chemistry issues with him and Hamilton. Both seem like they have bad attitudes. I guess winning masks alot. I will be curious to see if they drop a few (doubut they do) what happens.

Depends on your definition of worst I guess. I don't follow many athletes because most of them seem completely uninteresting, but if twitter can once and for all eliminate the hero worship of collegiate athletes by otherwise reasonable adults, I'd consider it a rousing success.

Don't have a facebook or other social media account so I can't speak to them.

Yeah, once you read a tweet from Shaq that he's on his way to KFC, it really melts the way the mystique of superstars.

J'Covan didn't * out the c in the word deactivate on his last tweet, either!

The stupidity of some of these athletes amazes me at times.

I'm surprised more programs haven't banned social networking. It would save them so much more trouble.

Interesting...I never knew, but if those are indeed his tweets, he's claiming, or he doesn't like a certain group for whatever reason.

There is also the chance that he let the life go, but not some of the writing habits.

Are you telling me you honestly didnt think Shaq went to KFC before? You don't get to be 400 pounds eating Subway.

Can I have a link to his Twitter page? I personally find it hard to top Kenny Stills' Twitter page for humor but this looks like it could give Stills a run for his money lol

Wow, where's that picture of the Iraqi Information Minister when I need it???????

Right. He let go of the life, but he won't type a "c" and he has a picture in gang garb.

So you take yourself way to serious and can't catch sarcasm. I'm sure there is a pic for that also, but that's not my thing.

Fair enough. Sarcasm doesn't always translate to message boards.

The thing I take away from this, is I have never once in my life read a "tweet." I also have never read a facebook "post" of anyone I didn't know personally. What's the fun in it that I am missing? Am I missing what certain athletes/celebrities had for breakfast or what they did in class that day?

Wow! That was brutal to read. I just don't get the fascination with young black people using the n-word as much as they do. It's just not a proper word to use anytime or anyplace regardless of race. I can't really say what Kenny Stills twitter page is like because I don't follow the college guys but I do follow some of our OU guys who are now playing pro ball ( Blake, GK, Roy Williams, Mark Clayton, Quinton Carter etc.) and none of these guys talk nothing like that and don't have an ounce of punk or thug in them.

I with you on that. I've never read a "tweet" as you said, and I only have a facebook page for the fam can see pics of the baby girl. I don't think you're missing anything, but of course I wouldn't know.

soonerdan it's something you'll never understand, just like it's things that men do that women will never understand, and then just the opposite. It would take a long discussion to break down, and even then you'll feel the same way. Not saying it's cool, and I'm glad you feel like you do about the word. But it's not a fascination.

I couldn't figure out what word to use other than fascination. :ez-laugh:

I find twitter quite useful, but I follow sources of information (I.E. Publications, news websites, sports writers, etc) not 18 year old college kids. I use twitter like one would use a feed reader. As a boxing fan it allows me to follow my favorite boxing writers and boxing websites all in one place.
