Jacob Hammond

Could he be related to former OU center (late 50s) Bill Hammond? Only thought of it cause Bill was about 6'6" to 6'7". A big solid guy in his era and a decent player in the old Big 7/8.

Not sure but he is leaving A. Trier and the OKC storm and going back to Hs in Duncan.

Yeah he got in a little trouble for playing up on the HS team as a 8th grader. He'll be a Soph (i think). He Avg like 23 ppg last year. And he did it againist some really good comp.

Also playing the elder Athletes First team, he is very much holding his own and more from what I hear.

Yeah i think he is one of the top guards ranked in every service (rivals etc.)

Sad to say...the Bill Hammond referred to in the original post passed away in Norman a couple of weeks ago. Great guy...tailgated with Bill before the OU/TX game the past 20+ years. Great Family. Loved his Sooners. He will be missed by many.

Do not think he is any relation to Jacob Hammond.

Sorry to hear about Bill. I did not know him personally but talked with him at OUs 50th reunion this past fall. Seemed a real nice, classy guy.
