Anyone else surprised with how pure that thing looked the other night? I guess I just didn't hear a lot about his outside shooting ability and thought he was more of a slasher. Looked good and confident.

James was rated the #1 shooting guard in Texas after his HS junior year, and he was hurt his entire senior year. His outside shooting touch shouldn't really be a surprise.

I attended practice Sat AM and sat next to James Dad. He gave me the following info:

Christian is still growing. He thinks that he has grown ~3/4" since coming to OU.
He wears size 16 shoes (same as his Dad)
For a few weeks, he has been suffering from a deep bone bruise in his chin.
It may take a few more weeks before Christian gets his confidence back to 100%

I gave Mr James some background info on Lon, the other coaches, and OU basketball program.

I knew he was highly regarded pre-injury but I still thought of him more as a slasher. I was pleasantly surprised with how good his shot looked.
