Random but KOCO just had a segment on the draft. They said one of the top picks was Abdul Adams. Even has his picture up

that IS weird. internet says he had about 400 total yards in 3 seasons at Syracuse. and his last season was 2021. His statline and ypc were better at OU, really. I remember he didn't really do much at Cuse, and I followed his box score since I was interested.

For all the gnashing of teeth about the football program, we’ve had a great offseason. Even SEC people think OU may have had the best offseason in the conference. Now, if they can put it all together and stop beating themselves, we could be onto something.

I was confused by this too. I think OP is confusing Abdul carter with abdul adams

I don't know if we had the best, but we had a very good one.

And I expect a bunch of SEC teams to be not as good as next year. Teams like Mizzou and Ole Miss for sure, but even Tennessee, texas, and Auburn. Bama probably didn't get better either. No reason OU can't go out and have a very good season if, as you said, we stop beating ourselves.
