If you oppose James over Cousins then there was no room for James. At the time you definitely didn't take James over Hield or Hornbeak. And like I said Walker is a product of Hornbeak leaving, not missing out on James.

I was never a fan of giving Cole a scholarship, even though he has served the purpose he came here for. But he still had no bearing in missing out on James, I don't know how they could have gotten 4 wings in the same class to come.

This is a speculative thread at best. It has been full of what ifs and revisionist history from the beginning. None of it means much of anything in the final analysis, which is not unlike most of the discussions we have had over the years.

For example, I could point to Casey Arent, a juco recruit OU signed the season JH was available, as another player who occupied a valuable scholarship that was pretty much of a waste for two straight years. Hindsight has a way of making all of us smarter, doesn't it? :ez-laugh:

I agree that this is a bunch of what ifs, but in all of my scenarios I never used hindsight. I said if we took Woodard then we probably wouldn't have taken Cousins. Hindsight would be that we take Woodard over Hornbeak since he left and Cousins turned out great, but that wouldn't have been the case. We got Cousins in the late period and Hornbeak was considered out of high school the better prospect, so we would've taken Hornbeak over Cousins.

I'd take Woodard over Cousins.

Much more difficult to land a pg of Woodard's caliber, than a SG of Cousins' caliber.
