In short, we are not listed anywhere in the article as either a scheduled visit or a potential suitor. Listed are his two set official visits (Marquette October 15 and Oregon this Friday), listed as having offered (Arkansas, Fresno State, and UTEP), and listed as receiving interest from (Oregon State, Arizona, Baylor, and Iowa State).

Guess we're not on the radar. Either that, or he's not on Capel's. Hmmm.

I really don't believe there has been much interest on either end since Henry moved to the Dallas area. Henry makes it seem as though the only talks with OU and his recruitment have been through his father, Skeeter.

Your thread title should say, "Jarion Henry not interested in OU".

A more appropriate title would be "No interest between Jarion Henry and OU." It is unclear where the lack of interest comes from.

From reading the article that OUhoops had up a few weeks back, it sounds like OU isn't interested in the kid. If they wanted him, they would contact him directly instead of his father. Also he doesn't have an offer. I hope he does well, He now measure at 6'9. He's a tough fit in a program. He's probably not quick enough to be a point guard, doesn't shoot it well enough to be a two or three, not physical enough for the power forward or center position and isn't very explosive. He's decent at everything but not great at anything. If I were a coach, I would probably put him in the high post and let him use his vision and shooting range from that area to his advantage.

I guess I'll just agree to disagree with you on a couple of points you made. First, he is not 6'9". He's 6'8" at best and that's with shoes on. Stood next to him in both slides and in his game shoes this weekend, and he's not 6'9".

Also, he is plenty crafty enough to make up for his lack of quickness to play the point on offense, though there's no way he defends at the one or even the two in a league like the Big12. He can, however, defend the three. He would be the ideal "point-forward" in college. Absolutely positive he can do that at the mid-major level, and probably at a high-major in the right offensive system.

His jump shot is much better than people give him credit for. The real issue is his decision making on offense. He still does not show the consistent ability to know when to shoot and when to pass. He often times errs on the side of being too unselfish when the situation calls for him to take over - especially in school ball. He owns way more game than he shows most of the time.

All of that said, I don't think he'd be a good fit for an Oklahoma or a Texas, but could possibly be a good fit for a West Virginia-type team.

The 6'9 measurements are his numbers. Looking at his film, he reminds me of Terrence Jones.
