I was being sarcastic. Blake recruited better talent than the product be produced on the field. Capel did as well. The other thing they had in common was both of them took the program to lows it hadn't seen in generations, and as history later showed, both of their recruiting prowess was influenced by their paying of players.
The issue with that comparison is that Blake had absolutely zero success at OU unlike Capel. But yes, both had tremendous lows. Blake's lows were the worst in program history.
Unfortunately, Blake's 3 years were my last 3 years at OU with Schnelly's year my freshman year. I think my class is the only 1 in the history of the school to not have witnessed a winning football season.
