John Starks on Reggie Miller's 30 for 30

That was a good show.
Spike Lee cracked me up too with his talk of the Indiana people and what he thought they wanted to do with him.
Pretty solid series.

good stuff. i loved reggie miller when he was playing (had nothing to do with my style of play, ok yes it did)

He was money from 3, and the play back then was so physical. Today you couldn't get away with about 90% of the stuff they allowed you to get away with back then.

"i had no problems with john before that. so i'm like ok, i see what's going on here. from that point on, i made it a mission. i'm going to embarrass this kid."

"john, look at your stat line. you're supposed to be a starting two guard in the nba? are you kidding me? you are embarrassing"

reggie's gotta be in my top 3 talkers of all time. i loved the pictures where reggie's in the background with a huge "i'm in his head" smile. great stuff.

Wish i would have got to see this. They probably wont re-air it any time soon I imagine.

My daughter was a Knicks fan in New York and Starks was one of her favorites.
They likened Reggie Miller to a Ferangi (Star Trek character). Said he looked like one.

I've always thought the exact same thing about Reggie. I grew up a Knicks fan because they didn't take crap from Detroit during the Bad Boys era or the Bulls. I fondly recall Reggie shoving Gregy Anthony to the ground in the '95 series and then hitting a three. God I hated him.

My favorite part was during the game Starks head-butted Reggie, Ewing told Starks to chill. He then got tossed after the head butting and Ewing and Oakley were in his John's face immediately. Ewing then told a story about how John's mother told him a couple days later that if he ever touched her son like that again there would be consequences to be faced from her. Ewing laughed and said he would've done the same thing again. The movie then cut to Reggie and he was laughing and saying how much he wished he knew that story when they were still playing. He said he may not have stooped that low, but everyone knows he would've said something. Starks might have lost his mind completely had Reggie known that story. You could see Reggie's wheels turning all these years later.
