Sounds like ESF is the hotspot right now for coaches. Not the first tweet I've seen with top programs coming to watch Johnson. Anyone know where OU stands?
 
When does the high school season officially start in Oklahoma?

Okay thanks... I'm interested in following Edmond Memorial and Muskogee this year. Are the teams in the same division?
 
Johnson was offered a scholarship by Arizona Monday. She also holds offers from Texas, Texas A&M, Texas Tech, Kansas, Tulsa, and SF Austin. This is according to todays Daily Oklahoman. Does Coale have an interst in her?

Over the last 3 years I have seen her at several games (10+) at LNC.
 
I thought we'd already decided Sherri isn't interested in her or that we have no shot.

I think Patterson and maybe Evans are our 2017 targets for the PG spot right now. Anybody know?

I believe you still try until 1) the player says don't contact me again or 2) she signs a LOI to play for another school.

Until one of those 2 things happen you give it all you got.
 
It's hard to understand why OU hasn't offered this kid. All I read or hear about Johnson, is she can flat out play. It will be a shame if she goes out of state.

#1, And I expect that offer list to get a lot longer this season seeing how it's her junior year. I watched Santa Fe Vs Muskogee last season and after watching her and Wilson it's no doubt in my mind Johnson can flat out play. Wilson is best player in the state right now IMO.

It is difficult for me to conceive why anyone would think that Sherri is not aware of a local talent, hasn't evaluated her completely, and is aware of her ability to contribute (or not) to a good D-1 program. It is difficult to believe that someone who has been to 10+ OU games would not be on Sherri's radar and that the two of them would know exactly where they stand with each other and why.

Very true, we never know what goes on behind the recruiting scenes but however, it is still early in her recruiting career so I'm sure Sherri will make the offer. Maybe Sherri hasn't completed evaluated her to make the offer.. Who knows.. I just hope she doesn't wait until the last minute to do so. I would like to see more In-State kids on the roster over the next few years. Aren't Johnson and Llanusa close friends? That has been discussed before on the board.
