Julius Randle says he's visiting Norman on Oct. 27

Jeff Webster yields the most influence in Randle's recruitment. I think that bodes well for OU- the longer it goes the better OU's chances in my view.

1. I bet UK disappoints this year. I think UK is his choice today, but you never know how many twists and turns this recruitment will have.

2. I think OU surprises to the upside this year and that will help any recruitment that heads to the Spring.

No OU fan wants M'Baye to be one and done. But if he plays well enough to be a lottery pick it could be huge for Randle. Just as Ekpe Udoh's emergence at Baylor really helped with Quincy Miller and Isaiah Austin.

As bad as going back on your word is, I would ask CJ Cole to wait one more year. could probably find him some academic scholarships to help out with money, but chances are Randle is a 1 and done so you could give him a scholly after that.

That or see if any older guy isn't earning their stripes. Seems to be regular attrition at most programs anyways, who is to say we retain exactly who we have this year.

CJ Cole has a 29 ACT. He's a bright kid. I think he'd get the picture real quick. It's a heck of a recruiting job to even get in the picture with Randle. Hopefully Woodson is the backup plan.

I get what you're saying, except that I wouldn't refer to Woodson as a "backup plan." He's a top 100 (#78 on ESPN, #36 on Rivals and #38 on Scout), four star recruit on every site I've been on. IMO, that makes him a legitimate prize in his own right.

If Coach Kruger can find a way to sign Randle and Woodson to go with Woodward and our two JUCO bigs, OU's 2014 class would be launched into contention for a top ten spot nationally, almost overnight.

And, for the record, you'd better believe that a scholarship will be available if both players want to come to OU. No coach in the country would let an opportunity like that slip through their hands.

You're talking about 2 recruits, in which one or both would come in from day 1 and start. I'm sorry, but Cole will just have to wait another year to get on an athletic scholarship if both chose to come here. You know whats better than Kruger keeping his word...Kruger keeping his job. Even though its a long shot to land both players, in the end..you can't really worry about a kid that may or may not contribute to a team in 5 years of being here when you're talking about 2 players that will contribute from day 1.

Cole may have been promised a scholarship next year...but so what! He still gets the same opportunity for minutes whether hes on an athletic or academic scholarship. Do we want to start being ranked in the preseason top 25 or do we want to stay ranked preseason #7 in the big 12?!?! Guys like Randle and Woodson gets us ranked in the top 25 and thats the direction Kruger wants to take us.

And I guarantee that when those 2 players arrive on campus....Kruger will be telling them what each of them can do here and what they both can do together. He won't be telling them that we only have 1 scholarship available.

Realistically someone will transfer and not just because need a scholarship. That just seems to be the way college basketball is these days.

100% agree if we could get both you take both and worry about the ship later ..

don't give one to cole . someone else is not happy and transfers ... whatever but you take both bigs ..
