Kansas-TCU

What is this a reference to? Did Central State (that was the name of the school until about 1988ish) beat OU once?

As someone posted since then, it refers to a KU fan in Edmond wanting to throw it in OU fans' faces that his beloved Birdies won the Mistake of '88. I didn't feel too bad when I found out, a couple of years later, that he'd gone out of business.

Same guy who got KU in trouble for providing improper benefits to a KU player?

Hmmm... by this logic, after the loss on Saturday in Lawrence they should have put about 150 points on an absolutely hapless TCU squad.... But, gee... that didn't happen.

So, is it after the SECOND unexpected loss that they finally decide to stomp the next team? I guess I don't understand the rules. lol

I based my comment more on the way OU has played the last two games rather than KU taking a dump in Fort Worth last night. Regardless, coupled together, I don't get a real warm and fuzzy feeling about Saturday.

You guys are looking at this from the wrong angle...this scares me more because TCU could beat us. A loss to KU doesn't hurt us, losing to TCU may effectively end our tournament chances.

I still have to hear about that around here. If there's ever one game in all of OU sports I wish I could change it would be that one. Not so much for the NC but to shut them up.

let's make it three in a row, Sooners!

yeah i know unlikely but i can dream can't i

That had to be Cowboy Bob, at least that's what he was known as because he owned the restaurant on Memorial Road named "Cowboy Bob's". He had a scoreboard in there, but I never knew what the score meant because I didn't know he was a big KU fan. I thought he was an aggie...
