Looking at Ken Pom's ratings vs. last year's results, and his top 11 teams (#11 was Kentucky a year ago), here are a few items of note ... the top 11 included:
Only Wichita State flamed out before the Sweet Sixteen, and they lost to another one of the top 11. Based on OU's current rank (9), those are stats that give me hope for a run...
- 7 of Elite Eight teams
- All four Final Four teams and both championship game teams
- 10 of 11 teams that made the Sweet 16
- Teams that were 11-0 in First Round games
