Once again, texas receives its annual preseason bump in the rankings. Every year without fail, and it's almost always unwarranted.

I get that this is KenPom and not a poll, but still...

All of this makes sense except Texas. They finished last year in 61st in Ken Pom's rankings. How did they jump up to the top 10?

The only team I'm confidently taking the under on of more than 5 spots is Texas. Baylor is a pretty easy bet to not be #1 (would take that bet on any team), but I wouldn't confidently place them outside the top 5.
