Keys to the Game

What I posted and what you are saying are not statements that are mutually exclusive. I have no problem with going inside as a first option. What I don't want is for us to have to try to force the ball inside simply because it's our only option. That's a surefire way to turn the ball over. If we are hitting a good percentage of our jump shots, it will open up the inside game and Thomas and Spangler will be able to operate more effectively (or pass to the jump shooters for open threes).

I agree with this as well.

OU does well inside-out when they have an advantage inside...see Albany & Dayton. Yes, those guys need consistent touches, but I'm not expecting clear-outs by any means.

Our guards win or lose us the game...and to be truthful, it comes down to Hield and Cousins. They don't have to play perfect for 40min, but they need to be real good, especially the second half and the under 8min timeout.

Give me boomer for 3-4 3's and walker with 1, and DJ and Lattin with 4pts and we'll win!

Can we rebound defensively and still get transition points?

Can they crash the offensive boards and still defend us in transition?

I think that's the key. We're great at scoring in transition. They're great at offensive rebounds and scoring off of them. If we can rebound without it costing us transition points, we'll win. If they can get offensive boards without it costing them transition points, they'll win.

Don't settle for jumpers. Play inside out and get quality shot attempts.
